Kid's crafts

Before Christmas, my mom asked me (like she always does) what my girls wanted for Christmas. I mentioned a couple things and I suggested that my 6 year old would probably like one of those craft kits you see at the store. You know, those in the "Kids Crafts" sections. She likes crafts and since she's older, there are more things that she can do besides just coloring or cutting and pasting. I don't think I really thought this suggestion through. I'm fairly crafty myself but the one she got was more difficult than it should have been. Finishing up a potholder wasn't easy, it's a good thing her grandmother won't care what it looks like.
